About

Dr. Karrian Hepburn Malcolm is a highly accomplished Caribbean corporate leader with over two decades of executive experience across banking, wealth management, media, and financial services. She currently serves as Head of Wealth Management at National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCBJ), where she provides strategic leadership across private banking, investments, and wealth creation initiatives within the NCB Financial Group.

She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, an MBA in General Management, and multiple professional licences in securities and wealth management. Beyond her corporate achievements, Dr. Karrian is widely respected for her work in women’s leadership, youth empowerment, mentorship, and philanthropy. At the core of her work is a singular mission: “to help people discover who they are, why they are here, and how to walk confidently on purpose.”

Why She Wrote Discovering Purpose

Discovering Purpose was born from lived experience. After 20 years of navigating corporate leadership, personal loss, faith, resilience, and transformation, Dr. Karrian recognized that her journey was not hers alone, it was meant to guide others.

The book is her response to a recurring question she encountered throughout her life and career:

“How did you know you were walking in purpose?”

This memoir is a deeply personal reflection on her life story, her achievements, challenges, failures, victories, and defining moments where she clearly saw God’s hand at work. It is written to inspire readers who feel stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from their calling, and to reassure them that purpose is often revealed through process.
